about

For many years I have been involved with music in a teaching capacity and playing professionally.....from brass bands in the beginning and then onto big bands and freelancing.
In my early teens I was given an old camera by a neighbour, so here my photography journey started. Very much experimental, the pictures weren't  great, and it was cold...it was the horrendous Winter of 1963. The camera came out only on special occasions as my music ambitions took preference.
In 2003 I began to learn computer skills after retiring from teaching and gradually my interest in photography returned with the inauguration of the "Digital Age" along with processing software.
I have amassed a huge collection of photographs which includes many photographs from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries which have needed much restoration.
Not wanting to become a couched potato I have channelled what energy I have left into occasional photography and, photo restoration.
I work voluntarily to achieve a goal for your photos, your donation for the work  helps my charities as below.
