how-it's-done
insight to our work
There has to be a methodical process to how it's done. Firstly, the image is checked for the correct size and resolution for printing. Damaged photos come in many forms, from physical damage like cracks and water stains to damage from exposure to light and environmental factors…. restoring these images involves delicate digital repairs that remove imperfections while preserving the authenticity of the original photograph. I also address discolouration, colour casts or fading ensuring those finer details that were lost or obscured are brought back to life. Whether the photo is a family portrait or a candid snapshot, black & white or colour, our photo restoration ensures that its historical and sentimental value is maintained.
A final sharpening of the image may be necessary (only subtle sharpening is carried out) …out of focus and blurred images are not considered good images to restore.
We email a watermarked copy to the client to make sure the photo is of the correct standard to their requirements

skin tones are dark and not smooth...as an experiment, Ai produced a two tone necklace....this is why I'm not keen on using it.

The final image new necklace and softened skin

Image has artifacts, scratches and blemishes

Cropping has removed the blemishes at the bottom but there are still scratches to remove

The final image has all major blemishes removed and cleaned up. Slight enhancement of the subject and a tweak of the tone overall. Job done!
