wedding photography rescue
Modern day digital photography and printing methods rarely produce poor images…..however, in wedding photography this is more a result of poor composition, framing the subject or distractions in the image just as you see here.
A substantial sum will have secured your wedding pictures so your first call should be with your photographer.     I often see pictures submitted straight from the camera without any thought to post editing. Those wedding pictures are memories of the day, an original scene and provenance of the occasion....I would consider the processing of those pictures to be equally important. Like the pictures below, with a small amount of thought the final edits are a vast improvement.

Bride & groom (landscape orientation)

The foliage is nice but too distracting. The architrave to the right of the door blends into the bride's dress (zoom in twice to see)

Bride & Groom (Portrait mode)

A cropped image gives more attention to the bride and groom. Notice the wall blending below the bride's neck, the background was blurred a touch. Not tack sharp, but the orientation makes an acceptable print

Too many distractions in this image.

Traffic, cable in the sky, white cladding by the left pillar

Bride has pride of place.... spot the difference
